Our Brief

Bayanix had been recommended by another client to property developer, Generator Group, who required a full refurbishment of their newly acquired first floor offices in Chelmsford, ready for their Head Office relocation from London’s Liverpool Street.

Located alongside Chelmsford Station, the rest of the building remained occupied throughout the project, so it was imperative to minimise disruption to the other tenants.

The Solution

Bayanix produced a bespoke design for the new workspace, with focus on the needs of Generator’s business. The fast-track works were carefully controlled in order to efficiently meet the deadline.

The Bayanix team kept in constant contact with the other building users to avoid and address any concerns and maintain a good working environment for all involved.

Challenges & Solutions

Design & Key Considerations

  • Formation of new WCs, shower room and kitchen area within the office demise
  • Installation of associated ventilation, hot water cylinder and sanitaryware to WC and shower facilities
  • Installation of new carpet tiles to the office area, vinyl flooring to the WC and shower facilities and Amtico planks to the kitchen area.
  • Installation of SAS ceiling grid system with Armstrong Tatra tiles
  • New FD60 door sets
  • Glazed partitioning to form boardroom and meeting rooms / offices, with anthracite track and acoustic toughened glass
  • 40 linear metres of radiator panelling with accessible match board fascia, new window boards and skirtings
  • Installation of 2no distribution boards, power and data sockets
  • New Daikin air conditioning system.
  • LED panel lighting to office area and LED slimline spot lights to WC and kitchen areas
  • Decorations in the client’s corporate colour palette throughout.

The Results

We handed over the newly installed head office to the client in accordance with the programme, ready for immediate occupation.
